Sweet Tooth Pediatric Dentistry is looking for a skilled Registered Dental Assistant to join our team! Our practice is a pediatric private practice and we are looking for a friendly, hard working dental assistant to join our fantastic team! As an RDA with us, you will have the opportunity to provide exceptional dental care to children, while also being a part of a family-oriented private practice. The ideal candidate holds an active RDA license and is comfortable assisting in treatment and hygiene. We are looking for someone with a friendly attitude who is willing to provide a positive experience to our patients and grow with our practice. Responsibilities:
The primary role of the Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) is to assist the dentist as necessary to give the patient the ideal treatment Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment where your patients feel comfortable Prepare patients for treatment, and assist the doctors - thereby enabling them to provide efficient, quality dental treatment Perform x-rays and intra-oral photos Perform and discuss pre-operative and post-operative care Coronal polishing certificate preferred but not required Sterilize and disinfect instruments, equipment, and operatories in accordance with the American Dental Association guidelines Maintain strict compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations, (e.g., OSHA, Dental Board, HIPAA, ADA, HR policies and practices)
Qualifications:
Equivalent to high school diploma or general education degree (GED), and specified training courses as mandated by state for certification, licensure, or registration Associate degree or one-year certificate from an accredited college or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred Minimum of 6 months to 1 year experience as RDA Pediatric dental experience is preferred but is not required Open to dental assistant externs and new graduates
Skills/Requirements:
Current Texas RDA license Certification to complete the following: coronal polishing, obtain radiographs, pit and fissure sealant application, etc Experience with dental software systems such as Open Dental Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work well in a team environment Apply today!
