Job Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA), where your expertise will directly contribute to delivering exceptional patient care and supporting our clinicians in providing comprehensive dental services. As an RDA, you will play a vital role in assisting with clinical procedures, managing patient interactions, and ensuring the highest standards of infection control and safety. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, and prosthodontics, ensuring smooth clinical operations. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and organizing dental instruments and equipment according to infection prevention management protocols. Take dental x-rays and medical imaging, including 3D scans, adhering to proper aseptic techniques and radiation safety standards. Manage patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) Open Dental ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Monitor vital signs and assess patient comfort levels before, during, and after procedures to promote optimal patient care. Maintain clinical cleanliness by following infection control policies, sterilization procedures, and dental equipment maintenance protocols. Create and deliver treatment plans to patients, discussing why treatment is needed, how the treatment process will be completed and amounts due at time of each appointment. Skills Proficiency with dental practice management system Open Dental similar systems for scheduling and recordkeeping. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dental procedures. Experience with dental sterilization procedures, infection prevention management, and aseptic techniques to ensure a safe clinical environment. Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and other diagnostic tools effectively. Skilled in chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices and working with pediatric patients to create a comfortable experience. Excellent communication skills for patient care coordination and collaboration with team members such as dental receptionists and hygienists.
