Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical history, and dental examinations to develop personalized care plans. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using digital imaging technology while ensuring radiation safety protocols are followed. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term dental health. Assist with chairside procedures such as applying sealants, fluoride treatments, and assisting during restorative or pediatric dentistry procedures. Pro Level Dentrix Enterprise understanding, documenting all patient interactions accurately and thoroughly. Maintain strict infection prevention protocols through aseptic techniques, sterilization of dental equipment, and adherence to HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality. Experience Proven experience as a Registered Dental Hygienist in a fast-paced dental clinic or healthcare environment. Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical coding practices for accurate documentation and billing. Proficiency with Dentrix Enterprise (Core) not Ascend Hands-on experience with dental x-ray procedures, including digital imaging and radiation safety standards. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices is highly desirable, along with experience in four-handed dentistry to enhance efficiency during procedures. Strong understanding of infection control standards within healthcare settings, including CDC guidelines for infection prevention management. Excellent communication skills for client education, team collaboration, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for diverse patient populations.
