We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for patient care and oral health education, with comprehensive knowledge of dental procedures, infection control, and electronic health record management. As a key member of our practice, you will be responsible for providing preventive dental services, patient assessments, and education while ensuring a comfortable and safe environment for all patients. Your expertise will contribute to delivering exceptional dental care and fostering long-term patient relationship Responsibilities Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth to prevent oral disease. Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history review, and dental examinations. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) utilizing dental imaging equipment while adhering to safety protocols. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options tailored to pediatric and general dentistry needs. Assist with chairside procedures by managing dental equipment, preparing materials, and supporting the dentist during treatments. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Implement infection prevention measures through aseptic techniques, sterilization procedures, and adherence to healthcare infection control standards. Ensure the proper functioning of dental equipment and assist in inventory management of supplies and materials. Communicate effectively with patients to address concerns, explain procedures clearly, and promote positive patient experiences. Uphold confidentiality standards by managing patient information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines. Experience Proven experience as a Registered Dental Hygienist within a busy dental office or clinic environment. Strong familiarity with electronic health record systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices and experience working with pediatric patients is highly desirable. Demonstrated proficiency in dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical coding relevant to dental care documentation. Expertise in infection prevention management, aseptic techniques, and healthcare safety protocols. Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments including vital signs and medical imaging procedures such as X-rays. Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration within a fast-paced setting.
