Responsibilities:

• Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning teeth and gums, scaling, and polishing
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations for home care
• Conduct patient assessments and screenings, including taking vital signs and reviewing medical history
• Take dental x-rays and perform other diagnostic imaging as needed
• Maintain accurate patient records using dental software system, Open Dental
• Follow strict infection control protocols and maintain aseptic technique throughout all procedures

Qualifications:

• Valid dental hygiene license in the state of Maine
• Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program
• Strong communication skills to effectively educate and communicate with patients
• Ability to accurately assess patient needs and provide appropriate treatment recommendations
• Knowledge of dental imaging techniques for dental diagnostics
