Dental Therapist About the Role As a Dental Therapist at Red River Dental, you'll help deliver high-quality patient care by supporting the dental team and contributing to a smooth, welcoming experience for every patient. You'll work alongside other clinicians to provide services that align with your training and scope. Success in this role looks like consistently delivering excellent clinical care, communicating clearly with patients and the team, and helping maintain efficient, organized workflows that support positive outcomes. Duties & Responsibilities Provide dental therapy services to patients according to your professional training and applicable scope. Assess patients' dental needs and gather relevant health and dental history. Perform clinical procedures as appropriate, ensuring safety, comfort, and quality standards. Educate patients on oral hygiene, treatment plans, and preventive care. Document clinical findings, treatments, and follow-up plans accurately and on time. Collaborate with dentists and team to support coordinated patient care. Maintain infection control practices and ensure clinical areas are ready for each patient. Support patient flow by helping keep appointments on track and addressing basic care questions. Maintain professional, respectful communication with patients of all backgrounds and ages. Requirements Education in dental therapy or a related program (as required for the role and applicable licensure/certification). Experience as a dental therapist (years of experience can vary based on your background). Valid licensure/certification required to practice in the state of Minnesota (or the ability to obtain it). Working knowledge of dental procedures, preventive care, and patient education practices. Comfort using common dental software and documentation tools (specific systems may vary). Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and infection control. Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain care in a clear, patient-friendly way.
