Job Summary We are looking for a Dental Hygienist for Monday and Thursday every week. Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Hygienist and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and promoting optimal oral health. In this energetic and rewarding position, you will provide comprehensive dental hygiene services, educate patients on maintaining healthy smiles, and support the clinical team with efficient chairside assistance. Duties Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth to prevent decay and gum disease. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) ensuring proper technique and patient safety. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, dietary advice, and post-treatment care to promote long-term dental health. Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency and comfort. Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) using systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix, documenting all treatments and patient interactions thoroughly. Follow infection prevention protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization of dental equipment, to ensure a safe environment for all. Requirements Valid Dental Hygiene license in accordance with state regulations. Proven experience in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry settings, with a focus on pediatric patients preferred. Proficiency with dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for managing electronic health records (EHR). Knowledge of medical terminology, medical imaging procedures, and medical records management. Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times. Ability to perform dental X-rays accurately while adhering to safety standards. Excellent communication skills for client education and team collaboration. Familiarity with infection control practices, including healthcare infection prevention and control expertise.
