Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Hygienist and become a vital part of delivering exceptional oral health care! In this energetic role, you will provide comprehensive dental hygiene services, educate patients on maintaining optimal dental health, and support the overall efficiency of our dental practice. Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using digital imaging technology, ensuring accuracy and patient safety. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental concerns to inform treatment plans. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing techniques, and preventive care strategies. Assist with chairside procedures such as applying sealants, fluoride treatments, and assisting during restorative or pediatric dentistry procedures. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in electronic health record (EHR) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring HIPAA compliance and confidentiality. Follow infection prevention protocols by adhering to aseptic techniques, sterilizing equipment, and managing infection control measures diligently. Experience Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist in a busy dental clinic or healthcare setting. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology related to oral health. Familiarity with digital dental imaging equipment, X-ray procedures, and EMR/EHR management systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Experience working with pediatric patients and providing pediatric dentistry services is highly desirable. Ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations, explaining procedures clearly and compassionately. Demonstrated understanding of healthcare infection prevention and control standards, including HIPAA compliance. Certification in dental assisting or related fields is preferred; ongoing education in general dentistry topics is encouraged to stay current with industry best practices. Pay:
$48.00 - $52.00 per hour
