Registered Dental Hygienist Christopher Fauver, DDS is an established general dentist practicing in southern Vermont for 20 years. We are a high-tech, upscale practice in one of the most beautiful towns in Vermont. We have recently moved to a newly renovated state of the art facility with the latest technology. We are looking for fun, hard-working team members to join our work family. You must love dogs! We have 2 golden retriever therapy dogs named Winston and Finleigh who provide comfort and entertainment to patients and staff alike. We can offer you as many hours as you desire

We have a full time position available, which we are hoping to fill immediately. There is a generous sign on bonus for this position, which can be discussed with at the time of an interview. We also have a part time position available. We have chairs we would like to fill, open to the availability of the right candidate. Responsibilities Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination Sterilize dental instruments properly Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitis Clean and help protect patients' teeth (e.g. remove plaque or apply fluoride) Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques) Give instructions to patients after operations or other dental procedures Take X-rays or dental impressions Assist dentists with selecting appropriate treatments for various diseases (including oral cancer) Maintain documentation and charts on each patient Monitor supplies Skills Proven experience as Dental Hygienist or similar role In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA) Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment Outstanding communication skills A patient and friendly personality Attention to detail Stamina to meet the physical demands of the job Diploma in Dental Hygiene Valid license to practice in
