Job Description

Header Overview Join our team of long term professionals , where you will help deliver exceptional dental care and patient education. Our two hygienists have been with us for more than 20 years each and enjoy helping patients reach new levels of health. Our office is very patient focused and values designing treatment that patients choose and value. In this role, you will utilize your expertise to provide comprehensive dental hygiene services, educate patients on maintaining optimal oral health, and support our commitment to patient comfort and safety. We are dedicated to empowering our hygienists with the tools, training, and support needed to excel and grow within our practice. Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, managing biofilm, and polishing teeth to help improve patients health. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, taking vital signs, and evaluating oral health status. Educate patients on proper dental care techniques, including brushing, flossing, and nutrition advice tailored to individual needs. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring high-quality images for accurate diagnosis while adhering to infection prevention protocols. Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix), documenting treatment plans, medical records, and medical coding accurately. Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA regulations by maintaining patient confidentiality and safeguarding sensitive information. Manage infection control measures by following aseptic techniques, sterilizing equipment, and adhering to healthcare infection prevention standards. Communicate effectively with patients to address questions about procedures or treatment plans while providing exceptional customer service. Experience Proven experience as a Registered Dental Hygienist in a busy dental office or clinic setting. Proficiency in using dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for charting, scheduling, and record management. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical coding practices. Hands-on experience with dental x-ray procedures and the operation of dental equipment in general dentistry environments. Demonstrated understanding of healthcare infection prevention protocols including aseptic technique and sterilization standards. Excellent communication skills for client education, team collaboration, and patient assessment documentation review. Ability to maintain HIPAA compliance while managing electronic health records (EHR) systems efficiently. Pay:
$48.00 - $55.00 per hour Expected hours: 16.0 - 20.0 per week
