In this vital role, you will be responsible for meticulously refining and finishing dental prostheses, ensuring they meet the highest standards of aesthetics, fit, and function. Your expertise will directly contribute to delivering exceptional patient outcomes and enhancing the confidence of those we serve. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced digital design tools, laboratory techniques, and a variety of dental materials in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Duties Precisely contour, finish, and polish dental prostheses including crowns, bridges, dentures, and implant restorations using specialized laboratory equipment and hand tools Utilize digital design software such as CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) systems to refine prosthetic models and ensure accurate fit and aesthetics Apply knowledge of ceramics, dental materials, and laboratory techniques to enhance the durability and appearance of restorations Collaborate closely with dental technicians and clinicians to interpret digital files, medical records, and patient-specific requirements for custom prosthetic fabrication Maintain strict infection control protocols and aseptic techniques during all finishing procedures to ensure patient safety Conduct quality checks using precision measurement tools like micrometers to verify dimensions and tolerances Document all procedures accurately within electronic medical records (EMR) systems in compliance with HIPAA regulations Experience Proven experience in dental laboratory settings with a focus on dental fabrication, finishing, or contouring of prostheses Strong knowledge of removable prosthodontics, full arch dental restoration, implantology, and complete denture fabrication processes Hands-on experience with 3D CAD modeling software, CAM software, and digital design for dental prosthetics Familiarity with ceramics, dental equipment maintenance, and laboratory techniques related to prosthetic finishing Understanding of medical terminology, medical documentation standards, and medical coding related to dental procedures Background in implant prosthodontics, anatomy knowledge relevant to dentistry, and infection control practices in clinical environments Ability to interpret technical drawings and perform detailed work with precision instruments such as micrometers Prior experience working with EMR systems like Epic or similar platforms is preferred Excellent communication skills in dental terminology and patient assessment procedures are advantageous Join us as a Dental Contour & Finishing Technician if you're passionate about delivering high-quality dental restorations that transform smiles!
