Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail oriented Records Technician/ Orthodontic Assistant with an awesome personality to join our dynamic dental team at all locations in NWA. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while taking patient records; digital photos, digital x-rays and digital scans and at times assisting the orthodontist in various clinical procedures if needed. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must be strong in customer/patient service , professionalism, punctuality, dependability, enthusiasm and a great team player!! Experience preferred, but we will train the right person for this position. ( Complete benefits will be determined based upon the the agreed hours to work .) Duties Assist the orthodontist during patient examinations and procedures, ensuring a comfortable experience for patients. Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques. Take diagnostic records which involves X-rays, photographs, and utilizing 3D scanner equipment effectively. Manage patient records and documentation in accordance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy. Utilize dental software for scheduling appointments, managing medical records, and documenting treatment plans. Perform chairside assisting duties. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions. Collaborate with dental receptionists to ensure smooth patient flow within the clinic. Qualifications Minimum 6 months experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role within a dental clinic is preferred. Proficient knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control practices. Understanding of pediatric dentistry principles; experience working with children is advantageous. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment. Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate clearly with patients, families, and team members. General knowledge of prosthodontics, endodontics, general dentistry practices, and 3D scanning technology is beneficial. $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
