Dental Radiography Operate digital dental radiography units. Position patients properly to obtain diagnostic-quality intraoral radiographs of all quadrants. Perform full-mouth radiographic surveys as standard of care for dental cases. Recognize common abnormalities (periodontal bone loss, tooth resorption, endodontic disease, neoplasia) and report findings to the veterinarian. Maintain radiology compliance with radiation safety protocols (use of PPE, dosimeters, proper shielding). Dental Procedures Perform comprehensive professional dental cleanings (Second part of COHAT) Scale supragingival and subgingival plaque and calculus using ultrasonic and hand scalers

Client Communication & Education Explain dental procedures, findings, and recommended treatments to clients clearly and compassionately. Provide demonstrations on at-home dental care (brushing, rinses, chews, diets). Review cost estimates and answer client questions under veterinarian direction. Document all communications and ensure accuracy of medical records.
