Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Dental Equipment Repair Technician to join our dynamic healthcare technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of dental and biomedical equipment to ensure optimal performance and patient safety. Your expertise will directly impact the quality of dental care delivery by providing timely and precise equipment service. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive troubleshooting and repair of dental and biomedical equipment, including electro-mechanical components, using advanced electronics diagnostics and test equipment. Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) manuals to accurately diagnose issues. Conduct calibration, testing, and preventive maintenance on dental devices to meet ISO standards and biomedical regulatory compliance. Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to document work orders, maintenance history, and inventory management. Execute field service visits at healthcare facilities, providing on-site repairs and technical support with excellent customer service skills. Maintain detailed records of repairs, inspections, and calibration activities in accordance with biomedical engineering standards. Stay current with industry best practices in equipment troubleshooting, electro-mechanical systems, and medical electronics to ensure high-quality service delivery. Qualifications Proven experience in biomedical engineering or medical electronics repair within healthcare settings. Strong mechanical knowledge for biomedical equipment combined with electrical diagnostics expertise. Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and OEM manuals. Skilled in using hand tools, calibration devices, and specialized test equipment for biomedical systems. Familiarity with DME (Durable Medical Equipment) standards, ISO standards, and biomedical regulatory requirements. Experience with CMMS software for maintenance tracking and documentation. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical staff.
