Job description: Job Overview We are seeking an experienced lead RDA to join our vibrant dental team! We are a family owned private practice. In this pivotal role, you will oversee and coordinate the daily operations of the back office , ensuring exceptional patient care and smooth clinical workflows. As a lead RDA , you will serve as a key liaison between dentists, patients, and staff, fostering a positive environment. Your leadership will help uphold our commitment to providing top-tier dental services while maintaining compliance with all healthcare regulations. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to join a fun calm team with a supportive and energetic work flow. Monday through Thursday 8:00am - 5:00pm Friday's flexible hours Responsibilities Supervise and mentor dental assistants, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and infection prevention policies. Assist with chairside procedures, including providing support during general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and other specialty treatments. Manage patient flow efficiently by coordinating appointment scheduling using patient management software and ensuring timely treatment delivery. Ensure all dental equipment, sterilization procedures, and medical imaging tools such as X-ray machines and 3D scanners are properly maintained and operated according to safety standards. Oversee dental instrument processing and sterilization procedures to uphold strict aseptic techniques in compliance with infection control guidelines. Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in accordance with HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies. Support the team in utilizing EMR systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft for documentation, billing, and patient communication. Conduct regular training on dental terminology, medical terminology, healthcare infection prevention, and clinical confidentiality policies to promote continuous staff development. Skills Dentrix or Eaglesoft for managing patient records and treatment plans. Strong knowledge of dental sterilization procedures, infection prevention management, and aseptic technique. Proficiency in operating dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, dental x-ray sensors, and other clinical tools. Front desk experience a BIG plus Excellent understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, oral surgery procedures, endodontics, prosthodontics, and general dentistry practices. Proven leadership skills in supervising dental assisting staff within a fast-paced environment; ability to foster teamwork through four-handed dentistry techniques. Strong communication skills for effective patient management and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Knowledge of healthcare infection control standards aligned with HIPAA regulations; commitment to maintaining clinical confidentiality at all times.
