Dental Sterilization Technician

Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Sterilization Technician and play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of infection control and patient safety. In this energetic and fast-paced position, you will be responsible for sterilizing and preparing dental instruments, maintaining a clean and organized clinical environment, and supporting the overall efficiency of our dental practice. Your attention to detail and commitment to aseptic techniques will help us deliver exceptional care to our patients. Responsibilities Properly sterilize, disinfect, and maintain all dental instruments using autoclaves and other sterilization equipment, adhering strictly to infection control protocols. Prepare dental operatory areas for patient procedures, ensuring all necessary tools and supplies are ready and sterile. Maintain a clean, organized sterilization area by following aseptic techniques and infection control standards consistently. Experience Previous experience working in a dental clinic environment is highly preferred; familiarity with general dentistry practices is essential. Knowledge of infection control practices, aseptic technique, anatomy, and dental terminology is required to ensure safe sterilization processes. Experience with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft is advantageous for efficient record management. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations ensures confidentiality of patient information at all times. Ability to work effectively within a team practicing four-handed dentistry techniques while maintaining high standards of infection control and patient safety.
