If so, the role of Orthodontic Records & Sterilization Technician at WE Ortho may be just the right fit for you! WE are looking to add a dedicated, friendly, and detail-oriented individual to our team as an Orthodontic Records & Sterilization Technician. This role is responsible for enthusiastically welcoming new and existing patients while completing their initial and subsequent oral photographs, scans, and x-rays. These records are an important part of the work we do and help set the stage for the patient's treatment plan and ultimately - their future smile! This role also encompasses sterilization duties to assist the clinic in running smoothly and efficiently, including sterilization and cleaning of medical equipment, instruments, and supplies when not taking patient records.
Job Duties:
Putting patients first in all we do by providing a warm, welcoming environment during all interactions. Taking digital photographs, scans, and/or x-rays of patient smiles. Ability to navigate electronic medical record and use of technical equipment to ensure proper documentation and maintenance of equipment. Organize and maintain patient orthodontic records. Interact with outside dental and medical offices when sending patient records for purposes of shared care. Perform sterilization of instruments Collecting used and contaminated equipment, instruments, and supplies for sorting and decontamination. Manually cleaning supplies of contaminants, removing waste matter, and operating and maintaining decontamination equipment. Preparing and packing decontaminated supplies for sterilization. Monitoring and operating sterilization equipment. Demonstrates high integrity in all activities; does not cut corners to achieve goals. A keen ability to take initiative; showing resourcefulness and a proactive approach. The ideal candidate will thrive with a diverse workload.
