Job Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Intern, where you will gain hands-on experience and develop essential skills in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment. Responsibilities Support dentists during clinical procedures across specialties such as prosthodontics, orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, and periodontics Assist with patient assessment by taking vital signs and preparing patients for treatment Maintain accurate medical and dental records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft and Dentrix Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient confidentiality and handling medical documentation appropriately Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist with dental assisting tasks to promote smooth clinic operations Help manage patient flow by greeting patients as a dental receptionist and scheduling appointments using dental office software Support the documentation of medical coding and recordkeeping for billing and insurance purposes Qualifications Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited dental program or school Basic knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and general dentistry practices Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly preferred Strong understanding of dental assisting procedures, vital signs measurement, and infection control protocols Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members Ability to adhere to HIPAA guidelines and maintain confidentiality of medical records Previous experience in a dental clinic or dental office setting is advantageous but not required Embark on your journey toward becoming a skilled dental professional by joining our team—where learning meets opportunity in a vibrant, supportive environment!
