MUST BE ABLE TO COMMUNICATE VIA PHONE AND EMAIL DIRECTLY WITH CLINICIANS.
The Technical Advisor plays a key role in bridging communication between the dental laboratory and client offices. This role requires strong technical knowledge of dental prosthetics and workflows, but will not involve hands-on fabrication. This individual will focus on case review, quality control, and technical communication—ensuring each case is accurate, complete, and clearly understood by both the lab and the clinician. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and confident discussing clinical and technical concepts with dental professionals. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary communication liaison between the dental lab and dental offices Communicate case details, timelines, and technical requirements via phone and email Review incoming cases (implant, fixed, removable, orthodontic) for completeness, accuracy, and prescription clarity Identify and proactively resolve case discrepancies or missing information Collaborate with production teams to clarify expectations and ensure case success Support quality control processes to maintain high standards and minimize remakes Document case activity and updates in lab management software Monitor case progress and help ensure on-time delivery Troubleshoot technical and clinical questions from dental offices Maintain a high level of customer service and professionalism in all interactions Assist with onboarding and training of new team members as needed Contribute to process improvements related to communication, workflow, and quality systems Qualifications Dental lab technician experience required (fabrication experience preferred for foundational knowledge) Strong understanding of implant, fixed, removable, and/or orthodontic workflows Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written) required, including the ability to engage directly with clinicians via phone and email Comfortable discussing clinical and technical topics with dentists and dental staff Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities Ability to manage a high volume of cases with accuracy and efficiency Proficiency with lab software (Magic Touch experience a plus) Familiarity with digital dentistry workflows (CAD/CAM, intraoral scans, etc.) preferred Highly organized with strong time management skills Team-oriented mindset with a proactive and adaptable approach Comfortable handling dental impressions, models, and case materials
