In this vital role, you will assist dentists during procedures, ensure clinical excellence through infection control, and provide compassionate patient management. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills within a collaborative healthcare setting dedicated to pediatric and general dentistry. Duties Assist dentists chairside during a variety of procedures Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments, setting up necessary equipment such as X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and dental handpieces in accordance with infection prevention protocols Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring high-quality images while adhering to HIPAA regulations and safety standards Manage patient accurately, document treatment notes, medical history, vital signs, and medical documentation Provide patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring patients feel comfortable and informed throughout their visit Maintain clinical confidentiality policies while handling sensitive medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA guidelines Support dental sterilization procedures and infection control practices using aseptic techniques to prevent cross-contamination and ensure a safe clinical environment Assist with dental equipment maintenance, including operation of dental x-ray units, 3D scanners, and other clinical tools necessary for comprehensive care Collaborate with the team in four-handed dentistry practices to optimize efficiency during patient treatments Qualifications Valid Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license or certification in accordance with state regulations Proven experience in dental assisting within a general dentistry setting; familiarity with pediatric dentistry is a plus Proficiency with EMR systems such as Dentrix for managing medical records and documentation Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, dental instruments, and equipment operation including X-ray machines and 3D scanners Expertise in infection prevention management, sterilization procedures, aseptic technique, and healthcare infection control standards Ability to perform dental x-ray procedures safely while maintaining patient comfort and safety standards Excellent communication skills for effective patient management and team collaboration Knowledge of medical terminology related to oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry treatments We are a small boutique office, we work Monday-Thursday with a wonderful team focused on patient care
Pay:
$26.00 - $32.00 per hour
