In this vital role, you will assist in meal preparation, food service, and maintaining a clean, safe kitchen environment. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will ensure our children receive nutritious meals in a cheerful setting, contributing to their health and happiness. Duties Assist with menu planning and meal preparation according to dietary guidelines and recipes Prepare food using proper cooking techniques, including slicing, chopping, and portioning Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently to support food production Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas by cleaning utensils, surfaces, and food prep zones regularly Follow food safety standards in handling, storage, and serving food to prevent contamination Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal service times and special dietary needs Support food handling procedures during catering events or special meal services Experience Previous experience working in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is preferred Knowledge of menu planning, food preparation, and cooking techniques Experience with cleaning protocols and maintaining hygiene standards in a kitchen setting Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, slicers, and refrigerators Background in food service within restaurants or the food industry is advantageous Understanding of safety standards related to food handling and production processes Culinary experience including knife skills, slicing techniques, and recipe adherence is highly valued Join us at Anointed Childcare where your skills will help create a nourishing environment for children's growth!
