Every other weekend required Start Your Day by Making a Difference At Walnut Hills, part of Greencroft Communities, our culinary team helps create welcoming dining experiences for the older adults who call our community home. We're looking for a dependable, energetic team member to join our culinary services team on a full-time morning schedule. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in keeping things clean and organized, and likes being part of a team. You don't need previous kitchen experience. We'll provide the training you need to become successful in the role. Your Morning Responsibilities As a Culinary Services Aide, you'll help prepare the kitchen and dining areas for the day while supporting the culinary team with a variety of tasks.
Your responsibilities may include:
Washing and sanitizing dishes, utensils, cookware, and other kitchen equipment
Maintaining a clean and orderly dishwashing area
Assisting with simple food preparation, including washing and cutting fruits and vegetables
Preparing salads, desserts, and other basic food items as directed
Setting up dining areas for resident meals
Transporting food, dishes, carts, and supplies throughout the community
Cleaning work areas and removing trash and other waste
Restocking supplies and keeping commonly used items available
Following food-service, sanitation, infection-prevention, and safety procedures
Working alongside culinary team members to keep meal service on schedule Your work helps ensure that residents and guests have a clean, comfortable, and enjoyable dining experience each day. Have a positive and service-minded approach Experience in food service, restaurants, housekeeping, healthcare, or senior living is helpful, but not required. Physical Requirements This position involves frequent movement and hands-on work throughout the shift.
Candidates should be able to:
Remain standing and walking for extended periods
Bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions
Frequently handle items weighing up to 10 pounds
Occasionally lift items weighing up to 40 pounds
