based on experience Dietary Aide Duties & Responsibilities As a Dietary Aide, you will help ensure our residents receive safe, nutritious, and enjoyable meals while maintaining a clean and welcoming dining environment.
Responsibilities include:
Preparing and serving meals, snacks, and beverages according to established recipes and dietary requirements Following all food safety, sanitation, and infection-control procedures Paying close attention to residents' individual diets, food preferences, allergies, and special nutritional needs Assisting residents with meals when needed in a respectful and compassionate manner Setting up and cleaning dining areas before and after meals Maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and dining environment Taking inventory and assisting with proper storage and rotation of food and kitchen supplies Following facility policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal regulations Working closely with the Dietary Supervisor and nursing team to meet residents' needs Providing friendly and respectful customer service to residents, families, and team members Participating in nutrition and dietary education programs as directed Supporting the Dietary Department with other kitchen and meal-service duties as needed Dietary Aide Qualifications & Skills The ideal candidate is someone who genuinely enjoys working with seniors and understands that kindness, patience, and a positive attitude matter just as much as the food we serve. We are looking for someone who has: A caring, patient, and compassionate approach when working with residents and families Strong communication and teamwork skills Excellent attention to detail The ability to follow recipes, meal tickets, diet orders, and special instructions accurately The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic The ability to maintain food safety and sanitation standards Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry supplies, assist with meal service, and maintain dining and kitchen areas Previous dietary, food service, healthcare, or long-term-care experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person Why Join Our Team?
