Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and highly qualified Certified Dietary Manager to oversee our dietary services and ensure the delivery of nutritious, safe, and compliant meal programs. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in food service management within healthcare or assisted living environments, demonstrating leadership in managing food production, supervising dietary teams, and adhering to health regulation policies. As a Certified Dietary Manager, you will play a crucial role in developing care plans that meet residents' nutritional needs while maintaining operational excellence and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities Lead and manage the dietary department, including supervising food service teams to ensure efficient and quality meal preparation and delivery. Develop, implement, and oversee menus that align with clinical nutrition standards, resident preferences, and regulatory requirements. Conduct patient assessments to tailor nutrition plans that support health outcomes and individual care needs. Ensure compliance with all health codes, food safety regulations, and facility policies related to food service health standards. Manage food production processes, including inventory control, budgeting, and cost management to optimize resources without compromising quality. Oversee the supervision of tube feeding procedures, diagnostic evaluations related to nutrition, and care plans for residents with special dietary needs. Utilize electronic health records (EHR) systems for documentation of nutrition assessments, care plans, and progress notes. Maintain a safe food environment by implementing food safety management practices and staff training on sanitation procedures. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate nutrition interventions that support patient recovery and wellness. Provide leadership in managing budgets for the dietary department while ensuring high standards of food quality and service delivery. Skills Extensive experience in assisted living or healthcare settings with a strong understanding of patient assessment and clinical nutrition. Proven supervisory skills with demonstrated ability to manage food service teams effectively. Knowledge of health regulation policies concerning food service operations within healthcare environments. Expertise in managing food production processes, including menu planning, food safety management, and food service health code compliance. Strong management skills encompassing budgeting, resource allocation, and team leadership. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for documentation related to dietetics and care plans. Experience with tube feeding protocols, diagnostic evaluation of nutritional status, and acute care nutrition interventions. Ability to oversee dietary department operations while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Excellent communication skills for team management and interdisciplinary collaboration. Knowledge of physiology as it relates to nutrition science to inform clinical decision-making.
