Overview We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Clinical Registered Dietitian to serve the region. This vital role involves providing expert nutritional care, developing personalized care plans, and collaborating closely with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in clinical nutrition, chronic disease management, and medical nutrition therapy (MNT), with a passion for improving health through evidence-based dietary interventions. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate nutritional status, medical history, and dietary needs. Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans aligned with clinical diagnoses and treatment goals. Provide nutrition counseling and education to patients with various conditions, including weight management, geriatrics, and chronic diseases. Utilize diagnostic evaluation tools and perform nutritional analysis to inform clinical decisions. Manage nutrition support interventions such as tube feeding and parenteral nutrition in collaboration with medical teams. Supervise and mentor dietetic interns or junior staff while ensuring adherence to best practices in clinical nutrition. Document all patient interactions accurately within electronic health records (EHR) systems and monitor progress over time. Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care. Apply motivational interviewing techniques to encourage behavioral change and improve compliance with dietary recommendations. Stay current on advancements in physiology knowledge, medical nutrition therapy (MNT), and specialty areas such as geriatrics and acute care. Skills Extensive knowledge of physiology, clinical nutrition principles, and disease-specific dietary management strategies. Proven experience with medical nutrition therapy (MNT) for diverse populations, including long-term care residents and hospital patients. Strong proficiency in EMR/EHR systems for documentation, care planning, and progress tracking. Excellent client communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively about their nutritional needs. Demonstrated experience supervising dietetic staff or students within a healthcare setting. Expertise in managing complex cases involving tube feeding, nutritional analysis, and diagnostic evaluation. Familiarity with chronic disease management protocols such as diabetes, cardiovascular conditions, and geriatrics-related health issues. Ability to collaborate seamlessly with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans. Experience working within hospital environments or dietary departments that emphasize acute care or weight loss programs.
