Registered Dietician (12 Hours/Month)

Job Description

CHD is seeking a casual (12 hours/month) Registered Dietician to a ssess and communicate the appropriate nutritional needs of clients through the WIC program. Counsel and assist individuals or groups on proper nutrition and eating habits. Provide nutrition education, development, and quality control.
Requirements:
Master's degree in nutrition or equivalent Registered Dietician with the American Dietetic Association (ADA), or eligible for ADA registration Oregon Licensed Dietician (LD). Knowledge of basic psycho-social/family/parenting education. Must possess a valid Oregon Driver's license and be insurable for client service purposes, travel between business offices, and to attend required meeting and/or trainings. Must pass all criminal history check requirements as required by ORS 536-181.537 and in accordance with OAR 407-007-0200-407-007-0370 and drug screening.
Essential Job Functions:
Nutrition education planning, development, evaluation, and quality control. Provide nutritional information to high risk program participants and case management and follow up. Provide follow up for difficult nutritional diagnosis and referrals such as failure to thrive, over/under weight based on BMI, allergies, and breastfeeding. Provide training and resource consultations to the clinic. Complete WIC training modules to access WIC database. Communicate information in a friendly and effective manner to program participants.
