Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Dietary Manager to oversee the dietary department within our psychiatric facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in nutrition and dietetics, with experience in patient assessment, care planning, and management. This role is essential in ensuring that our residents receive high-quality nutritional care tailored to their individual needs. Responsibilities Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient assessments and dietary requirements. Supervise and manage the dietary department staff, ensuring compliance with health regulations and standards. Conduct diagnostic evaluations to assess the nutritional needs of patient. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide health coaching and support for residents' dietary choices. Maintain budgets for the dietary department, ensuring efficient use of resources while providing quality meals. Stay updated on best practices in dietetics and nutrition to enhance service delivery within the facility. Lead training sessions for staff on nutrition-related topics and dietary management practices. Requirements Proven experience in a dietary management role, preferably within an assisted living or healthcare setting. Strong knowledge of physiology, nutrition, and dietetics principles. Experience in patient assessment and developing care plans tailored to individual needs. Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in supervising staff effectively. Familiarity with budgeting processes related to dietary services. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with residents, families, and staff. A passion for promoting health through nutrition and a commitment to providing exceptional care.
