About Little Seedlings Nutrition & Lactation, LLC Little Seedlings Nutrition & Lactation is a pediatric and maternal nutrition practice supporting families from pregnancy through early childhood. We provide evidence-based nutrition and lactation care designed to help parents feel confident in feeding themselves and their children, while promoting healthy growth, development, and overall well-being. Position Overview We are seeking a compassionate, clinically skilled Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) and Lactation Consultant (CLC or IBCLC) to provide in-person care at our Cypress office. This role focuses on supporting breastfeeding dyads through common and complex feeding challenges while also addressing maternal nutrition needs during the postpartum period. The ideal candidate is confident working independently, values evidence-based care, and is passionate about supporting families during a critical stage of development. Typical consultations are 75-90 minutes, allowing time for a thorough assessment, individualized education, hands-on support, and development of a personalized care plan. Our patient population includes families seeking support for concerns such as: Painful breastfeeding or latch difficulties Milk supply concerns Pumping and flange fit Milk transfer and infant weight gain concerns Feeding patterns and breastfeeding challenges as babies grow Bottle feeding and combination feeding Oral restrictions and other factors affecting feeding Weaning and changes in feeding routines Postpartum nutrition, recovery, nutrient needs, and maternal well-being The role may also include co-leading or leading prenatal education classes for small groups of expectant parents. Comfort and confidence working in both a one-on-one clinical setting and a small-group educational setting are important. Key Responsibilities Provide in-person nutrition and lactation consultations for breastfeeding dyads Assess latch, milk transfer, feeding dynamics, pumping, and infant growth Develop individualized, evidence-based care plans to support each family's feeding goals Provide hands-on lactation support and education Deliver postpartum nutrition counseling to support recovery, nutrient repletion, and maternal nutrition needs Support families with a variety of feeding approaches, including exclusive breastfeeding, pumping, combination feeding, and bottle feeding Participate in prenatal education classes and, as appropriate, lead or co-lead small-group classes Communicate effectively with families and provide compassionate, nonjudgmental support Accurately document visits in the electronic health record Collaborate with referring providers and other members of the care team as needed Maintain compliance with HIPAA and professional standards Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field from an accredited program Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential by CDR required Current/Active Texas Dietitian license by TDLR required Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) or International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) required Experience providing lactation support and postpartum nutrition care required Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and counseling skills Comfortable working independently in an in-person clinical setting Comfortable providing education in both one-on-one and small-group settings Passion for supporting breastfeeding families and helping parents feel confident in feeding their babies Schedule & Availability 2 days per week, approximately 10-20 hours/week One weekday required Second day may be a weekday or weekend Typical hours are between 9:00 AM-5:00 PM Flexible scheduling with consistent availability Opportunities for additional hours as the practice grows Compensation W-2 employee $55-80/hour for client-facing time Hourly rate based on experience, credentials, and clinical expertise CEU reimbursement + technology stipend Additional opportunities may become available as the practice continues to grow
Pay:
$55.00 - $80.00 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 - 20.0 per week
