Registered Dietitian (RD) Greendale Park Nursing & Rehab Greendale, WI Job Details Full-time 16 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Qualifications Driver's License Bachelor's degree Registered Dietitian Full Job Description Registered Dietitian (RD) The Registered Dietitian (RD) is responsible for providing nutrition services and oversight across four skilled nursing facilities in Wisconsin. This role ensures that residents' nutritional needs are met in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as professional standards of practice. The Registered Dietitian RD will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams at each facility, oversee dietary operations, and provide education, support, and guidance to dietary staff.
Responsibilities:
Service multiple buildings Provide nutrition assessments, care planning, and monitoring for residents, including those with special dietary needs. Develop, evaluate, and update individualized nutrition care plans in coordination with physicians, nursing, therapy, and other clinical staff. Monitor residents' weight changes, intake, and overall nutritional status, making recommendations and interventions as needed. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) requirements. Conduct regular audits of meal service, sanitation, and dietary practices at all four buildings. Oversee menu development and implementation to ensure balanced, appealing, and regulatory-compliant meals. Provide training, support, and guidance to dietary managers, cooks, and aides across facilities. Participate in care conferences and interdisciplinary team meetings. Serve as a resource for staff, residents, and families regarding nutrition and dietary concerns. Travel between the four facilities on a regular schedule, ensuring consistent quality and oversight. Assist with survey preparation and participate in state/federal surveys as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field required. Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) required. Current Wisconsin state licensure as a Dietitian required. Prior experience in long-term care or healthcare setting strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of regulatory guidelines (CMS, state survey requirements, infection control, and sanitation). Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Ability to travel between four facilities on a regular basis (valid driver's license required).
