Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Nursing Services to lead our nursing team and ensure the delivery of exceptional resident care across our long-term care, assisted living, and home health facilities. This pivotal role combines clinical expertise with strong leadership skills to foster a compassionate, compliant, and efficient healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in nursing administration, regulatory compliance, and managing multidisciplinary teams, all while maintaining a focus on resident rights and quality outcomes. Duties Provide strategic oversight of nursing operations across multiple care settings, including assisted living, long-term care, home health, and hospice services. Develop, implement, and monitor care plans that align with residents' needs, regulatory standards, and best practices in patient care. Supervise nursing staff management, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and shift management to ensure optimal staffing levels and high-quality care delivery. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to long-term care facilities, Medicare requirements, HIPAA privacy rules, and long-term care regulations. Oversee medical records management using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems to guarantee accurate documentation review and regulatory adherence. Lead efforts in quality assurance by reviewing documentation, conducting audits on medical records, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. Foster a culture of resident-centered care by upholding residents' rights and promoting dignity in all aspects of service delivery. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop memory care programs and specialized care strategies for residents with cognitive impairments. Manage compliance with Medicare standards while ensuring that all clinical practices meet or exceed industry benchmarks for safety and quality. Qualifications Proven experience in nursing leadership within assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or long-term care environments; prior home health or hospice experience is highly valued. Strong knowledge of nursing administration principles, including staff supervision, shift management, and clinical supervision. Extensive familiarity with MDS (Minimum Data Set), medical terminology, physiology, anatomy knowledge, and documentation review processes. Demonstrated ability to manage regulatory compliance related to long-term care regulations and Medicare requirements effectively. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems for medical records management and documentation accuracy. Exceptional leadership skills with a track record of supervising multidisciplinary teams in fast-paced healthcare settings.
