We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team in providing exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of nursing practices, particularly in post-acute care environment. This role requires a commitment to upholding the highest standards of patient care while ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements As the Director of Nursing, you will plan, organize, develop, and oversee the clinical operation, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company values.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct and manage nursing operations to guarantee exceptional patient care. Collaborate with patients, families, and all departments to plan for patient needs. Lead a team of high caliber nursing staff, ensuring high standards of care. Analyze and manage data to improve nursing practices and patient outcomes. Maintain professional relationships and uphold confidentiality at all times. Develop and implement policies that align with our mission.
Qualifications:
Minimum of ASN degree from an accredited college or university. Active RN license in good standing within the state of Colorado. At least 2 years of supervisory experience in a post-acute care or related setting. CPR certification upon hire, with ongoing maintenance during employment. Duties Oversee the nursing staff and ensure effective management of nursing operations within the facility. Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures that align with best practices and regulatory standards. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times. Conduct regular documentation reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance with Medicare and other regulatory requirements. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans for patients, including MDS assessments. Provide guidance and support to nursing staff in delivering high-quality hospice care and home health services. Monitor patient outcomes and implement quality improvement initiatives as necessary. Manage staffing levels, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations of nursing personnel. Experience Must have a valid RN license with experience in nurse management. Proven experience in post-acute care. Strong knowledge of Medicare regulations related to nursing practices is preferred. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are required to effectively lead a diverse team. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
