The Director of Nursing is the executive leader responsible for all clinical operations of the agency. This individual will establish the clinical standards, systems, workflows, and infrastructure that drive exceptional patient care while ensuring regulatory compliance, operational excellence, financial stewardship, and outstanding patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities

• Direct all clinical operations of the agency's Medicare-certified skilled home health program, providing executive leadership and accountability for quality, compliance, staffing, documentation, physician collaboration, reimbursement support, and patient outcomes.
• Provide executive leadership for clinical staffing, resource allocation, and capacity planning to ensure the agency can safely and efficiently meet patient demand.
• Review, evaluate, and determine acceptance of all patient referrals based on clinical appropriateness, agency capabilities, staffing availability, payer requirements, and organizational capacity.
• Direct all clinical operations from referral through discharge, ensuring safe, effective, compliant, and patient-centered care.
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve the agency's clinical infrastructure, including policies, procedures, workflows, forms, documentation standards, and clinical best practices.
• Collaborate with physicians and physician offices to obtain, validate, clarify, and coordinate physician orders, certifications, recertifications, Plans of Care, and all required clinical documentation.
• Partner with scheduling to ensure appropriate clinical coverage, continuity of care, efficient utilization of clinical resources, and timely response to changes in patient needs.
• Collaborate with intake, billing, and administrative staff to ensure accurate clinical documentation, authorization management, reimbursement optimization, and timely claim submission.
• Communicate and collaborate with Medicare, Medicare Advantage plans, Medicaid managed care organizations, commercial insurance companies, and other payers regarding patient eligibility, covered services, authorizations, visit frequencies, and reimbursement requirements.
• Recruit, hire, mentor, supervise, coach, and evaluate the agency's clinical workforce while providing clinical oversight to registered nurses, home health aides, and certified nursing assistants.
• Lead the agency's Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) Program, including clinical audits, quality monitoring, infection prevention, incident investigations, corrective action plans, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with Medicare Conditions of Participation (CoPs), Florida AHCA regulations, HIPAA requirements, accreditation standards, and all applicable federal, state, and agency policies.
• Oversee OASIS accuracy, comprehensive patient assessments, physician orders, Plans of Care, clinical documentation, and timely completion of clinical records.
• Prepare the agency for Medicare certification, AHCA surveys, accreditation surveys, and ongoing regulatory readiness through continuous monitoring, education, and process improvement.
• Assist in the implementation, optimization, and ongoing oversight of the agency's EMR, clinical software, documentation systems, and operational workflows.
• Serve as the agency's primary clinical authority for regulatory interpretation, compliance guidance, evidence-based practice, and clinical decision-making.
• Foster collaborative relationships with physicians, hospitals, referral sources, case managers, community partners, and payers to strengthen referral partnerships and support agency growth.
• Partner with executive leadership to optimize clinical productivity, maximize reimbursement, manage utilization, support strategic growth initiatives, and achieve the agency's financial and operational objectives while maintaining exceptional patient care.

Required Qualifications

• Active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
• 5+ years of experience in Medicare-certified Skilled Nursing Home Health
• 2+ years of progressive clinical leadership experience as a Director of Nursing, Director of Clinical Services, Clinical Manager, or similar leadership role.
• Demonstrated experience directing all aspects of Medicare home health clinical operations, including patient referrals, admissions, staffing, physician collaboration, clinical documentation, quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and reimbursement optimization.
• Strong working knowledge of Medicare Conditions of Participation (CoPs), OASIS, QAPI, infection prevention, HIPAA, and home health regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrated success leading AHCA, CMS, ACHC, CHAP, Joint Commission, or other regulatory surveys.
• Proven experience developing clinical policies, procedures, workflows, and operational systems that support regulatory compliance and high-quality patient care.
• Experience collaborating with physicians, hospitals, referral sources, case managers, scheduling, billing, executive leadership, and payer organizations to achieve positive clinical and operational outcomes.
• Demonstrated executive-level leadership; sound clinical judgment, strategic thinking, and the ability to make informed operational decisions while effectively balancing patient care, staffing resources, regulatory requirements, reimbursement opportunities, and financial performance.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills. Preferred Qualifications
• Experience preparing an agency for Medicare certification and accreditation.
• Experience implementing and/or optimizing EMR, OASIS, and clinical documentation systems.

$91,000-$104,000 annually , based on qualifications and experience
