$95,000 - $115,000 annually Lead Clinical Excellence and Elevate Resident Care Live Oak Healthcare and Rehabilitation is seeking an experienced and compassionate Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our leadership team. The ADON will support the Director of Nursing in overseeing daily nursing operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality resident care, maintaining regulatory compliance, and promoting a culture of clinical excellence. This key leadership role requires a dedicated nursing professional who can mentor staff, improve clinical outcomes, support survey readiness, and help foster a positive environment for residents and employees. Key Responsibilities Assist the Director of Nursing with the overall management and supervision of nursing services. Support daily clinical operations to ensure safe, effective, and compassionate resident care. Provide leadership, guidance, and support to nursing staff, including Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and Certified Nursing Assistants. Monitor resident care plans, clinical documentation, and quality indicators to ensure compliance with facility standards and regulations. Assist with staff scheduling, assignments, and coverage needs to maintain appropriate staffing levels. Conduct clinical rounds and follow up on resident needs, changes in condition, and care concerns. Support the development and implementation of nursing policies, procedures, and best practices. Assist with survey preparation, regulatory compliance, and corrective action plans. Monitor infection prevention practices, surveillance, reporting, and compliance with federal and state guidelines. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve resident outcomes and quality of care. Assist with employee coaching, performance management, and professional development. Support orientation, education, and competency programs for nursing staff. Review documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with state and federal requirements. Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) initiatives. Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement. Qualifications Current Florida RN license in good standing. Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting . Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred. Strong knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations. Infection Control Certificate preferred. Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to mentor, motivate, and support nursing teams. Proficient with clinical documentation and electronic medical record systems. Demonstrates professionalism, integrity, compassion, and initiative.
