This leadership role is vital in ensuring the delivery of high-quality resident care across assisted living, nursing home, home health, hospice care, and acute care settings. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, extensive nursing experience, and a comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulations and documentation standards. This position offers an opportunity to influence patient outcomes positively while overseeing clinical operations and staff development. Responsibilities Provide strategic leadership and oversight of nursing services, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations including HIPAA and Medicare requirements. Manage daily shift operations, including staffing, resource allocation, and workflow optimization to maintain high standards of resident care. Supervise and mentor nursing staff, including nurse managers and direct caregivers, fostering a collaborative and compliant work environment. Oversee the development and implementation of individualized care plans for residents, ensuring they meet clinical needs and regulatory standards. Review medical records, documentation, and care documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to policies. Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate resident assessments such as MDS (Minimum Data Set) reviews and ensure timely updates in EMR/EHR systems. Monitor resident progress and adjust care strategies accordingly while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding medical records and documentation review. Lead quality improvement initiatives focused on enhancing resident satisfaction, safety, and clinical outcomes. Ensure staff training on medical terminology, physiology, anatomy knowledge, shift management protocols, and regulatory compliance. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Medicare policies and reimbursement processes impacting resident care services. Qualifications RN License in the state of MA Proven experience in nursing home administration or management within assisted living or similar long-term care environments. Extensive background in nursing including home health, hospice care, acute care, or related fields. Supervising experience with a strong track record in nurse management and leadership roles. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems for documentation review and medical records management. Deep understanding of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and healthcare regulations including HIPAA compliance. Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively while managing multiple priorities across shift management schedules. Strong knowledge of resident's rights such as resident rights and familiarity with care plans development aligned with Medicare standards. Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across disciplines for optimal resident outcomes. This position is integral to maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence while fostering a compassionate environment for residents under our care.
