Job Description
Job Summary The Assistant Director of Nursing plays a vital leadership role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care within our long term care facility. This dynamic position involves collaborating with senior management to develop and implement strategic initiatives, oversee clinical operations, and foster a positive environment for staff and patients alike. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, a strong understanding of healthcare regulations, and a passion for advancing nursing excellence. This is an hourly position. Responsibilities Assist in developing and executing strategic plans to enhance nursing services and patient outcomes. Ensure compliance with all state healthcare regulations and accreditation standards. Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, accountability, and continuous learning among nursing staff. Support recruitment efforts by participating in hiring processes and onboarding new team members. Promote a culture of safety, excellence, and compassionate care throughout the facility. Assist with new admits and discharges Help with infection control On-call rotation Assist with QA meetings & develop QAPI teams Track resident H&P, progress notes, handle nursing department schedule, manage daily call-ins, and requests for time off Track stock medications for billing Track nursing attendance Schedule in-services New employee passwords, tb tests, drug screenings for nursing staff Qualifications Valid LPN nursing license in the relevant state or jurisdiction. Proven experience in management or leadership roles within healthcare settings; Strong knowledge of state-specific education laws related to healthcare training programs. Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead teams effectively and foster collaboration across departments.
