Job Summary Life Care center of Grandview is seeking a dedicated and experienced Assist Director of Nursing (ADON) (Registered Nurse) to join our long-term care facility team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in nursing management, with comprehensive knowledge of resident care, regulatory compliance, and clinical supervision. As ADON, you will support the Director of Nursing in overseeing daily nursing operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care, and maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations. Your leadership will be instrumental in fostering a compassionate environment that prioritizes resident rights and promotes staff development. Responsibilities Assist the Director of Nursing in managing nursing staff, including supervising, mentoring, and evaluating performance to ensure optimal team effectiveness. Oversee the development and implementation of individualized care plans that address residents' medical, psychological, and social needs. Ensure compliance with long-term care regulations, Medicare requirements, HIPAA standards, and other applicable regulatory guidelines. Monitor documentation review processes to maintain accurate medical records and ensure proper coding for MDS assessments and billing purposes. Supervise shift management activities to guarantee adequate staffing levels while promoting efficient workflow and patient care continuity. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate resident care across various services such as hospice care, memory care, home health, and acute care when necessary. Maintain a thorough understanding of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and nursing best practices to support clinical decision-making. Promote a culture of safety by ensuring adherence to infection control protocols and safety procedures within the facility. Skills Extensive experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or long-term care environments with a focus on resident-centered care. Proven leadership skills with supervising experience in nursing management or healthcare teams. Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations, Medicare policies, and documentation standards including EMR/EHR systems. Familiarity with managing care facility teams through administrative clinical supervision and shift management. Competence in handling medical records review, documentation review, and ensuring regulatory compliance across all clinical operations. Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with residents, families, staff members, and regulatory agencies. Ability to apply medical terminology knowledge along with physiology and anatomy expertise in clinical settings.
