Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as an Assistant Director of Nursing (RN), where you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional resident care and leading nursing operations within a vibrant nursing home environment. Your expertise will help create a compassionate, efficient, and safe setting for residents, fostering a positive atmosphere that promotes dignity and well-being. Responsibilities Lead and supervise nursing staff, ensuring high-quality care delivery aligned with resident needs and organizational standards. Oversee the development, implementation, and review of individualized care plans for residents, ensuring they meet medical and emotional requirements. Manage shift schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels while maintaining optimal patient care and operational efficiency. Review medical records, documentation, and medical records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate resident care, including assessments related to MDS (Minimum Data Set) processes and Medicare requirements. Supervise the use of EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems for documentation review and data management. Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, state licensing laws, and accreditation standards related to assisted living, nursing home care, hospice care, home health, and acute care settings. Provide leadership in nurse management activities such as training, performance evaluations, and supervising nursing administration functions. Support the management of care plans tailored to residents' physiology and anatomy needs while promoting best practices in nursing management. Assist in shift management by addressing urgent issues promptly and maintaining smooth operational flow during your oversight periods. Experience Proven experience in assisted living facilities or nursing homes with a strong background in nurse management and supervision. Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and documentation review processes relevant to long-term care environments. Demonstrated ability to manage complex care scenarios involving residents' (personal needs), ensuring compassionate support while adhering to regulatory standards such as HIPAA. Prior experience working with EMR/EHR systems for medical records management and documentation accuracy. Familiarity with Medicare regulations, care planning processes, MDS assessments, and documentation required for reimbursement purposes. Leadership skills with a track record of supervising nursing teams effectively while fostering a collaborative work environment. Strong understanding of shift management principles combined with excellent organizational skills to oversee daily operations seamlessly.
