Director of Nursing (DON) 85-Bed Skilled Nursing Facility | Missouri Clinical Leadership Opportunity with a Growing Long-Term Care Organization A well-established 85-bed Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to provide strong clinical leadership and oversee all nursing operations. Responsibilities Provide leadership and oversight for all nursing operations within an 85-bed Skilled Nursing Facility. Partner with the Nursing Home Administrator and interdisciplinary leadership team to achieve exceptional clinical, regulatory, and operational outcomes. Ensure continuous compliance with federal and state regulations while maintaining survey readiness. Oversee resident care, clinical documentation, infection prevention, quality assurance, and quality improvement initiatives. Recruit, mentor, coach, and develop nursing leaders and frontline staff. Build a positive, collaborative culture focused on accountability, communication, and resident-centered care. Drive improvements in Quality Measures, staffing, employee engagement, and resident outcomes. Lead confidently through change while effectively managing multiple priorities and competing deadlines. Support the care of residents with behavioral health diagnoses, psychiatric disorders, dementia, and other medically complex conditions. Qualifications Current Registered Nurse (RN) license with eligibility to practice in the state. Previous experience as a Director of Nursing (DON) or Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) in a Skilled Nursing Facility. Strong working knowledge of CMS regulations, the state survey process, and long-term care regulatory compliance. Proven ability to work independently, exercise sound clinical judgment, and adapt in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills. Demonstrated success developing high-performing nursing teams and mentoring clinical leaders. Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving abilities. Experience working with residents with behavioral health diagnoses, psychiatric disorders, dementia, and complex medical needs preferred.
