Dobson, NC Description of Work:
The Assistant Director of Nursing provides leadership, supervision, and clinical/administrative oversight for designated nursing and health programs within the Surry County Health & Nutrition Center. This position is responsible for coordinating and supporting the delivery of high-quality public health services in Pediatric Primary Care, Dental, Medication Assistance, Advanced Medical Home Care Management, Pediatric Immunizations and Laboratory Services, School Health, and related child and family health initiatives. The Assistant Director of Nursing supervises and develops assigned staff, promotes effective clinic operations and patient flow, ensures compliance with applicable federal, state, and local requirements, supports quality improvement and program development, and collaborates with the Director of Nursing, Health Director, providers, agency leadership, community partners, and other healthcare professionals to advance the health and well-being of Surry County residents.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Master's in Nursing and three years of Public Health nursing experience (including two years of experience in a supervisory capacity); or graduation from a four-year college or university with a B.S. in Nursing which includes a Public Health Nursing rotation and four years of Public Health nursing experience (including two years of experience in a supervisory capacity); or a Master's in Public Health and graduation from a school of professional nursing and three years of Public Health Nursing experience (including two years of experience in a supervisory capacity); or graduation from a school of professional nursing and five years of professional nursing experience four of which must have been in Public Health (including two years of experience in a supervisory capacity); or an equivalent combination of training and experience. $68,923.00 - $117,449.00 per year
