We are seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) for this responsible and critical leadership position in our SNF in the Marlton, NJ area. In this role, you will assist the DON in all nursing services and oversee the overall quality of patient care. We are seeking a very experienced and skilled Registered Nurse who combines strong clinical knowledge with leadership, administrative, and communication abilities to ensure the smooth, compliant, and high-quality delivery of nursing services in our nursing home.

Key Responsibilities:
The ADON is on the ground, assisting the DON to ensure that clinical standards are met and the staff is functioning like a well-oiled machine. 1.
Clinical Oversight and Quality Assurance Audit Management:
Regularly reviewing medical records and charts to ensure accuracy and compliance with state and federal regulations.
Infection Control:
Often serving as the lead for infection prevention protocols—a critical role in long-term care environments. Quality Improvement (QI): Tracking metrics like fall rates, pressure ulcers, and medication errors, then developing plans to reduce them. 2.
Staff Management and Development Mentorship:
Coaching Charge Nurses and CNAs on best practices and bedside manner.
Education:
Identifying "knowledge gaps" in the team and organizing in-service training sessions (e.g., new wound care techniques or EMR software updates).
Scheduling:
While sometimes handled by a dedicated scheduler, the ADON often has the final say in staffing levels to ensure the building is safely clinical. 3.
Regulatory Compliance Policy Implementation:
Translating complex healthcare laws into daily standing orders for the staff.
Incident Investigation:
When an accident occurs, the ADON leads the investigation to determine the "root cause" and documents it for state surveyors. 4.
Resident and Family Advocacy Conflict Resolution:
If a family is unhappy with a loved one's care plan, the ADON is usually the first person called to de-escalate the situation and find a clinical solution.
Care Planning:
Participating in interdisciplinary team meetings to ensure the resident's social, emotional, and physical needs are being met .
Qualifications and Experience:
1. Registered Nurse (RN) License 2. Minimum 2 years Experience as a Assistant Director of Nursing in a Long-Term Care Facility 3. Proven Leadership Skills
