Job Type:
Interim/Part-Time
DON, 20-30
hours/week to start, with potential transition to full-time hybrid employment based on agency needs and mutual fit.
Compensation:
$85,000-$100,000 annually if full-time, prorated during the interim part-time period, depending on experience and schedule. Actual HomeCare is seeking a dedicated Director of Nursing (DON) to guide our clinical team through an exciting transitional period. Key Responsibilities As the Director of Nursing, you will oversee all clinical functions, ensuring the highest standards of care and regulatory compliance.
Your day-to-day will include:
Clinical Leadership:
Supervise, mentor, and provide professional development opportunities for our nursing staff and caregivers.
Compliance & Quality:
Develop, implement, and monitor clinical policies in line with federal, state, and local regulations. Support CHAP survey readiness and documentation (with consultation support provided).
Client Care Management:
Conduct initial client assessments and re-assessments; ensure all care plans are accurate, comprehensive, and up to date.
Team Building:
Handle interviewing, training, and performance evaluations for caregiving staff.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the executive team and maintain open communication with families to ensure exceptional client satisfaction.
Safety First:
Oversee quality assurance, infection control, and client safety initiatives.
What We Are Looking For Licensure:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) License in the state of New Jersey.
Experience:
Minimum of 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience (home care experience is required).
Regulation Knowledge:
Strong understanding of home care regulations, compliance, and clinical best practices.
CHAP Familiarity:
CHAP experience is a plus.
Soft Skills:
Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Hard Skills:
Knowledge of SwyftOps CRM, Microsoft Word, Google Docs, or similar systems, is a plus
Flexibility:
Ability to work flexible hours/weekends as needed, and a willingness to travel up to one hour for client visits.
