Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
: At Silver Lake, we are seeking the right candidates who understand the need to provide true nursing interventions in a long-term care facility. We hire nurses who are seeking to set forth a career in helping develop skills not taught in any other nursing home.

PTO plus Paid-Sick-Days; unused days are paid out at year end an excellent health benefits package in which we do not charge any fees a 401k plan that pays 3% into your retirement fund, Travel Expenses are also available The ADON position must demonstrate the ability to lead a nursing staff that solves problems with the ability to work in a group setting to plan and implement nursing care of residents seeking assistance and guidance. The incumbent is expected to lead by example so the nursing staff can carry out care responsibilities with emphasis on nursing judgments to assist residents to attain his/her optimum level of wellness within the framework of stated outcomes. Care responsibilities span from admission through discharge of resident. Our resident population varies in acuity, ranging from ventilator dependent to trach care, dementia and short-term rehab. At Silver Lake, we teach perhaps more clinical knowledge than in a hospital setting, and we are very proud of the services that we provide. Our staff is expected to always be conscientious and give excellent care to our residents and respectful to their families since we always treat them like they are our own family. Duties Assist DNS in developing and implementing strategic plans to enhance nursing services and patient outcomes. Oversee staffing schedules, personnel management, and staff supervision to ensure optimal team performance. Maintain flexibility with work schedule to address unpredictable needs Responsible for Wound/Skin Rounds weekly Manage departmental budgets, monitor expenditures, and allocate resources efficiently to meet organizational goals. Ensure compliance with state-specific education laws and healthcare regulations governing nursing practice. Provide instructional leadership by mentoring nursing staff, fostering professional growth, and promoting best practices in patient care. Collaborate with administration and other departments to coordinate clinical operations and improve service delivery. Lead quality assurance initiatives, conduct audits, and implement corrective actions to uphold high standards of care. Knowledge to implement an effective Infection Control program, to protect resident population Requirements Current State RN License required Min. 3 yrs. exp. in Long-Term Care settings 2 years of management experience preferred 1-year staff education experience preferred Infection Control Certification Excellent Communication Skills required Evidence of basic leadership skills and supervision Flexible hours required
Pay:
$130,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
