The Director of Nursing is a senior healthcare leadership position responsible for the administrative oversight, coordination, and operational management of healthcare services across multiple Kintock facilities, collaborating with the Medical Director and Site Administrators, reporting directly to the Chief Administrative Officer. This role involves managing nursing staff, coordinating medical vendor contracts, addressing patient complaints, ensuring compliance with licensure requirements, and developing and reviewing policies and procedures. This position requires a Registered Nurse background combined with significant healthcare administrative and supervisory experience, with experience working in correctional healthcare, residential substance use disorder treatment, behavioral health, or similarly regulated healthcare environments.
Responsibilities:
Manage nursing staff, including supervision, hiring, and performance management Schedule shifts and manage time off to ensure adequate nurse coverage Coordinate and negotiate contracts with medical vendor services Attend managerial meetings Address patient complaints Audit medical records and medication procedures Track mandatory training and provide educational opportunities for nurses Track and maintain licensure requirements for all medical staff Plan and facilitate staff meetings and ensure cleanliness of medical areas Develop and review policies and procedures, including SOPs Travel to multiple locations weekly and work a flexible schedule Perform ACA-related duties and attend mandatory training classes Perform other work-related duties as assigned •
Qualifications:
Five (5) to ten (10) years of experience in healthcare administration and supervisory experience, including responsibility for healthcare operations, staff management, compliance, policies and procedures, scheduling, vendor management, and quality improvement.
Prior experience in a correctional healthcare, residential substance use disorder treatment, behavioral health, or residential treatment is strongly preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills CPR Certification
Education Requirements:
Education in Healthcare Administration, Health Services Administration, Business Administration, Business Management, or a related healthcare management field Graduate of a Registered Nursing Program, preferably a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Registered Nurse (RN) currently licensed in NJ/PA required Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge of ACA requirements Ability to work independently and prioritize patient care Work in an environment where safety and security are paramount •
Additional Information:
The Director of Nursing will oversee nursing services in Newark, Bridgeton, and Philadelphia in a non-hospital setting, with approximately 10 FT/PT nursing staff.
This is a 40-hour per week position based in Ft. Washington, PA, but requiring regular travel to sites with the flexibility to work remotely when needed. A travel allowance, laptop, and monthly cell phone will be provided. #ZR
