Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)

Job Description

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support the Director of Nursing in overseeing clinical operations at our long-term care facility. The ADON plays a key leadership role in ensuring high-quality resident care, regulatory compliance, and staff development in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Director of Nursing in managing daily nursing operations Supervise, support, and mentor nursing staff, including RNs, LVNs, and CNAs Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including CMS guidelines Monitor clinical practices to maintain high standards of resident care and safety Participate in hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations of nursing staff Oversee infection control, quality assurance, and performance improvement initiatives Assist with care planning and interdisciplinary team coordination Address resident and family concerns in a timely and professional manner Support survey readiness and participate in state inspections and audits Promote a positive, collaborative work environment
Qualifications:
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing (Texas) Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing required Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred Strong knowledge of regulatory standards and clinical best practices Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to multitask and respond effectively in a dynamic healthcare setting

$65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
