Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Nursing Services to lead and oversee all nursing operations at Mira Vista Care Center. This pivotal role demands a passionate leader dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a compassionate environment for residents. The ideal candidate will bring extensive nursing management experience, a deep understanding of long-term care regulations, and a commitment to elevating standards of care through innovative leadership and strategic planning. Duties Provide visionary leadership for nursing staff, including nurse management, supervision, and clinical supervision to promote high-quality resident care. Develop, implement, and review comprehensive care plans tailored to residents' individual needs, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards such as Medicare and HIPAA. Oversee documentation review, medical records management, and ensure accuracy in medical terminology and physiology documentation within EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations governing long-term care facilities, including long-term care regulations and Medicare requirements. Manage staffing schedules across shifts to optimize patient care delivery while maintaining budgetary efficiency. Lead quality assurance initiatives by reviewing documentation, conducting audits on medical records, and ensuring adherence to regulatory compliance standards. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to foster a culture of continuous improvement in patient care, memory care programs, and specialized services such as hospice or home health. Facilitate ongoing training on medical terminology, HIPAA privacy rules, and regulatory updates for nursing staff. Drive initiatives that improve resident satisfaction by enhancing care plans and promoting a resident-centered approach. Experience Proven nursing leadership experience within long-term care facilities or assisted living environments. Extensive background in managing care facility teams with supervising experience in nursing administration or healthcare management roles. Demonstrated expertise in managing EMR/EHR systems, medical records documentation review, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations such as Medicare standards. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, memory care practices, and acute care procedures relevant to long-term or home health settings. Experience working with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with long-term care regulations and Medicare requirements. Familiarity with managing diverse clinical teams across shifts in fast-paced environments such as assisted living or home health agencies. Excellent communication skills for coordinating with physicians, residents' families, regulatory bodies, and interdisciplinary teams. Ability to lead change initiatives aimed at enhancing patient outcomes while maintaining operational efficiency. Pay:
$145,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year
