Director of Nursing (DON) Position Overview We are seeking an efficient, organized, and collaborative Director of Nursing (DON) to lead the clinical team at a premier Skilled Nursing Facility in Wisconsin. The ideal leader is a positive problem-solver and an all-around "people person" who brings a compassionate, resident-centered approach to overseeing nursing and clinical care staff. Key Responsibilities Serve as the key liaison between facility staff, department heads, and corporate leadership. Provide comprehensive oversight, leadership, and direction to the Nursing Department. Plan, organize, and supervise clinical services to ensure the highest quality of resident care. Implement and maintain administrative practices, goals, and policies in strict compliance with state and federal regulations. Monitor and optimize the efficiency and capacity of the nursing department. Recruit, mentor, and motivate clinical staff to foster a positive, high-performing work environment. Coordinate and execute assigned clinical projects to support the facility's long-term objectives. Qualifications Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Wisconsin. Minimum of 1 year of successful leadership experience in a skilled nursing facility (as a DON, ADON, or Unit Manager). Strong working knowledge of federal and state survey processes. Proven track record in long-term care (LTC) operations. Wound Care Certification is preferred (but not required). Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills.
