Job Description

Position Overview We are conducting a confidential search for an experienced and collaborative Director of Nursing (DON) to lead the clinical team. The ideal candidate is a compassionate, resident‑focused leader who excels at problem‑solving, team engagement, and driving high‑quality care. Key Responsibilities Demonstrated strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to hold staff accountable while fostering a supportive work environment. Extensive experience managing and preparing for state and federal surveys, ensuring compliance and successful outcomes. Act as the primary liaison between facility staff, department heads, and corporate leadership. Provide strategic oversight and direction to the Nursing Department. Plan, organize, and supervise clinical services to ensure exceptional resident care. Implement and uphold administrative practices, goals, and policies in full compliance with state and federal regulations. Monitor and enhance the efficiency and performance of the nursing department. Recruit, mentor, and inspire clinical staff to foster a positive, high‑performing environment. Qualifications Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin. Minimum of 2 years of proven leadership experience in a skilled nursing facility (DON, ADON, or Unit Manager). Strong knowledge of federal and state survey processes. Demonstrated success in long‑term care (LTC) operations. Wound Care Certification preferred but not required. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and team‑building skills.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday On‑
Call:
Available for clinical needs as required
Flexibility:
Must be open to working weekends or off‑hours in case of emergencies
Pay:
$115,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
