Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Rehabilitation to lead our Skilled Nursing Facility's (SNF) rehabilitation services. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the comprehensive management of physical, occupational, and speech-language pathology services, ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care. Your leadership will drive clinical excellence, foster a collaborative team environment, and ensure compliance with all rehabilitation regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape rehabilitation programs that enhance patient outcomes and elevate the quality of life for residents in a vibrant long-term care setting. Duties Lead and manage the rehabilitation department, including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology teams, ensuring high standards of patient care and service delivery. Develop, implement, and monitor rehabilitation protocols aligned with current best practices, regulations, and facility policies. Oversee patient assessments, treatment planning, and progress documentation to ensure personalized rehabilitation programs that meet individual needs. Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams—including nursing staff, physicians, and social workers—to coordinate comprehensive care plans. Ensure all staff maintain certification requirements such as Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), along with adherence to safety protocols like manual handling and heavy lifting procedures. Manage compliance with rehabilitation regulations and standards at local, state, and federal levels while maintaining accurate documentation for audits and inspections. Provide clinical leadership through staff training, performance evaluations, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement in patient rehabilitation services. Skills Extensive knowledge of rehabilitation medicine principles across physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology disciplines. Proven experience in skilled nursing facility or rehabilitation center management with a focus on long-term care environments. Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and rehabilitation regulations to ensure safe and effective patient care delivery. Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary clinical teams while promoting teamwork and professional development. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with patients with disabilities or visual impairments as well as their families. Ability to handle physically demanding tasks including manual handling and heavy lifting while maintaining safety standards. Pay:
$74,951.13 - $115,000.00 per year
