Job Description

The candidate must be a motivated individual with professional skills to multitask between resident treatments, staff management, and required projects. The individual should have understanding of both State and Federal Laws related to Nursing Home rehab. This position will also require assistance with treatments at sister homes when staffing needs occur. To be considered for this position, the candidate must possess an AZ PT or OT license. Summary As the Director of Rehab (PT/OT), you will oversee the rehabilitation services within our organization, ensuring high-quality patient care and effective management of resources. Reporting to the Regional Director of Operations, your role encompasses practice management, budgeting, and compliance with HIPAA regulations. You will leverage your core skills in medical administrative support and EHR systems while utilizing premium skills in fiscal management and supervising to lead a team of professionals. Your expertise will be vital in enhancing operational efficiency and delivering exceptional rehabilitation services to our patients. Responsibilities Oversee the daily operations of the rehabilitation department, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and medical regulations. Manage staff performance, providing guidance and support in practice management and patient care. Develop and monitor departmental budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation using EHR systems. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes and streamline services. Implement training programs for staff on medical terminology and administrative support. Qualifications Proven management and practice management experience in a healthcare setting Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medical records, and HIPAA compliance Proficiency in EHR systems Experience with budgeting and fiscal management Familiarity with medical office management and supervising staff Background in acute care and utilization management is a plus
