Director of Therapy Services Livingston Hills Rehabilitation & Nursing Care Center is a 120-bed Skilled Nursing Facility located in beautiful Hudson, New York. We proudly serve both short-term rehabilitation patients and long-term care residents, providing compassionate, high-quality care in a supportive and welcoming environment. We are seeking an experienced, positive, and dynamic Director of Therapy Services to lead our growing rehabilitation department. Sign-On Bonus $3,000 Sign-On Bonus paid in increments. Position Summary The Director of Therapy Services will oversee all therapy operations, including Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech-Language Pathology services. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring exceptional patient outcomes, maintaining regulatory compliance, supporting staff development, and fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and resident-centered care. You'll join a collaborative team that values innovation, compassion, and professional growth. Key Responsibilities Direct and supervise all therapy department operations and staff. Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to therapy team members. Ensure compliance with federal, state, Medicare, Medicaid, and facility regulations. Develop, implement, and monitor therapy programs that maximize resident outcomes. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute individualized care plans. Monitor productivity, staffing levels, scheduling, and departmental performance. Review clinical documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance. Analyze key performance indicators and implement quality improvement initiatives. Participate in admissions reviews and support census growth through rehabilitation program development. Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, physicians, and referral sources. Promote a positive, resident-focused culture throughout the therapy department. Qualifications Licensed Physical Therapist (PT), Occupational Therapist (OT), or Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in New York State. Minimum of one (1) year of rehabilitation management experience, preferably in a Skilled Nursing Facility setting. Strong knowledge of Medicare Part A, Part B, PDPM, and SNF regulations. Proven leadership, communication, and team-building skills. Experience managing productivity standards, quality measures, and departmental performance. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment while maintaining a positive attitude and strong attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications Previous Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility. Multi-site management experience. Strong understanding of reimbursement systems and clinical outcomes tracking.
